Generations of leadership and management provide strength and stability.

Investment Through Ownership

The Peninsula of Charleston is the first and only ownership model senior living community in Charleston. This model offers individual ownership of each residence and empowers owners with the option to sell their residence or designate it as an inheritance.

By owning your residence, you’re investing in a legacy you can pass on to your family. Continue to live your lifestyle in the city you love while feeling secure in your investment.

The Peninsula of Charleston is not your normal retirement community. It’s peace of mind on the peninsula.

Family History

The Peninsula of Charleston is co-owned and operated by Liberty Senior Living and Evening Post Industries. These two fourth-generation, family-led businesses have deep roots in the Carolinas, as well as decades of experience in the hospitality and healthcare world.

Liberty Healthcare

is a revered, family-owned company that has been helping people manage their healthcare and residential needs for more than 145 years. Today’s principal owners are the fourth generation of the McNeill family, who opened their first pharmacy in 1875 and established the core values of quality, honesty and integrity that guide Liberty Senior Living to this day.

The Evening Post

was founded by Arthur Manigault in 1894 and grew into a thriving real estate, multimedia, and healthcare company in the decades that followed. Today, Courier Square and its subsidiary, Evening Post Industries, proudly carry this legacy into real estate investment and development. The firm’s longstanding presence uniquely positions them in Lowcountry business development.

Evening Post Industries is proud to partner in the development of The Peninsula of Charleston, one of the cornerstones of Courier Square.

The condominium association provides a united voice and greater control than most other models. The monthly costs at The Peninsula of Charleston include the fees for the condominium homeowners association, which manages the ongoing maintenance and future improvements for the community.
